Mark Watson

Mark became the pastor of the First UMC of Seminole in June of 2016.  He was born and raised in the Shawnee, OK area and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1981.  Mark received his bachelor's degree at Oklahoma City University then pursued a Master's degree at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY.  He received a cerificate in advanced studies from the Institute for Worship Studies in Orange Park, FL.

He married Lisa Hamburger in 1988 and they have enjoyed 28 years of life together.  They have 3 children:  Steven, a high school band director; Emily, currently a college student with a nursing major. Gabriel is the newest member of the Watson family.  He is 3 years old and was adopted by Mark and Lisa in February of 2017!

Mark has served as a United Methodist pastor for 28 years and has served appointments in Weatherford, Calumet, Watonga, Locust Grove, Blanchard and Pauls Valley.

His hobbies are:  reading (especially anything by Terry Brooks), gazing at the stars, cooking and getting a regular work out at the gym.

Donna grew up in Seminole, and graduated from Seminole High School and Seminole State College.  She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from East Central University.  She taught school for 20 years in Boley,Tecumseh and McLoud and then returned to Seminole after her retirement.   She has been a member of this church since 1965 and an employee of this church since 2002.  She is also a member of the Joybells (handbell choir).

Donna has always enjoyed summer camps and served as staff/director for Camp Fire Boys and Girls camps for 35 years.  She is now a dean for Methodist Conference summer camps at Canyon Camp and Cross Point.

She is a member of Camp Fire, Inc., OEA, NEA, Retired Teachers, and the SHS Alumni Association.  Donna was inducted into the SHS Hall of Fame for tennis in 2014.  Her greatest joys are her nephew, Steve, and nieces, Katelyn and Mallory. She and her mother, Kay, enjoy traveling, going to movies, and are season ticket holders to the OU Women's Basketball games and the Shawnee Little Theater.  Her hobbies include photography, crafts, and spending time with family and friends.
